1. Create a schedule: Creating a schedule will give you a focus so you don't get bored, frustrated or float through the day. Sometimes frustration leads to stress eating and boredom can make us eat just to keep our mouths entertained. 2. Eat Healthy Snacks: Eating healthy snacks that you can pick at tricks your brain into feeling like you are snacking on a junk food substitute. Fruits are simple sugars that will give you an energy release along with vitamins. Nuts are a good source of proteins and healthy fats.  3. Get fruit cups: It would be hard to sustain the habit of eating fruits if your supply does not last long. Fruit cups are a good back up for when your supply of regular fruits run out. Be sure to check the food label to check that your fruit cup actually has the required nutrients. Also, check for added sugars so you can avoid these options. You can opt for fruit in 100% juice and even the organic version of your favorite fruit if that is available in

It’s been ages since you stepped on a scale. You wake up one morning and decide summer is getting close or that you have a big wedding coming up that you just have to look amazing for. If you’re a guy you may want to be able to show off toned muscles like a Hollywood star. You step on a scale and realize you have added 15 pounds since the last time you weighed yourself. It may not seem like a lot to some people but it is shocking to you. The pounds added up in 2 months! How can this be? Maybe there is something wrong with your scale. You start thinking about it and realize you have a good excuse. Life has been hectic. You may have started stress eating without paying attention. You may have had a crazy college semester or a turbulent couple of months at work. You just have not had the luxury of time. Time to pay attention. Time to care about yourself or time to even think about working

10 practical ways to motivate yourself to exercise

I always thought I would be fit and would never have to motivate myself to exercise because  I just love it!  Ah! How things change. I am a mother to a very active toddler and now I have to motivate myself to exercise. Here are nine ways I motivate myself to workout. These are not unique to me. They are ideas anyone can use. 1. Watch weight loss stories: There are so many weight loss stories online and watching them motivates me. I think "If someone else can lose so much weight and transform their lives, I can definitely find time in my schedule to work out." I love to watch weight loss stories on Youtube or Netflix's "Bringing sexy back" 2.Set a time of the day to exercise. Picking a time of the day to work out means part of the decision-making process has already been performed so all you have to do is stick to it. It may seem like something that is inconsequential at first but I have had better success with this than I have had when I tell myself &q

Low carb, colorful and tasty meal

An easy way to make salads is to buy a salad mix and add extra ingredients. I bought a Southwest Sald mix and added: One grated organic carrot to one serving of this salad, 1/2 of an avocado seasoned with salt and black pepper, One cumuber, Antibiotic free chicken baked with honey mustard dressing and lemon pepper. To the upper right corner I have some brown rice with a little tomato stew (sauce) in it, that recipe will be included in another post on www.sizzledrizzl.blogspot.com. It was truly a tasty meal.
